turk1 Braised Turkey Drumsticks - This tasty, simple recipe for turkey drumsticks is for those of you who like the dark meat of the turkey. Slightly spiced, first fried, to brown, then slowly simmred, stove top until the moist tender meat is falling off the bone, literally. You can ebvev make some homemade gravy to go with it, with the pan dripping. A very simple, easy recipe, that is a “fix It and Forget It”, it cooks itself!

Cook Time: 90 mins
Main Ingredient: Turkey Drumsticks
Difficulty Level: 1

Ingredients to make Braised Turkey Drumsticks

2 lb Turkey drumsticks
1/8 ts Poultry seasoning
1/16 ts Salt
1 ds Pepper
1 1/2 c Water

Directions to make Braised Turkey Drumsticks

Step 1:Brown drumsticks in hot frypan–about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with seasonings.
Step 2:Add water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until tender–about 1-1/2 hours. Turn drumsticks halfway through cooking. Measure cooking liquid Spoon off as much of the fat Add water to liquid, if necessary, to make 1-1/2 cups. Save 1/2 cup for Braised Turkey with Gravy. Separate meat from skin and bones.
